The department conducts research on the history of Korean culture, modernization and democratization processes development, and economic development in the Republic of Korea, the lessons of transitional economy, and the development of electronic database for supporting the educational process in the field of Korean studies.
The department provides training for Korean History and Korean Economy majors. Korean Economy majors are thoroughly instructed in general economic disciplines and specific courses in the Korean economy. . In accordance with the national education standard, the program also provides students' training in regional (Korean) studies, as well as in Korean and English.
