The Department carries out research on the issues of world economy and intercultural communications in Pacific Rim Countries. It prepares specialists in the economy of Japan, economy of China and economy of Vietnam. Students acquire a profound knowledge of the economy of Japan and China, as well as knowledge in the fields of higher mathematics, statistics, mathematical methods in economics, accounting, auditing, financial management, marketing, credit and finance of foreign countries, and world economy. After graduation, students work not only as translators and/or interpreters but also as managers, bank employees, and economists both in state-owned and commercial organizations.
