Please refer to this page to learn more about Dr. Vladimir Kurilov, President of Far Eastern National University. The longest serving president of FENU during its 109 year history, he was elected to this position four times in succession (1990, 1997, 2002, and 2007) by secret ballot of the FENU Electoral Conference. Under his leadership, FENU became a national top layer university, nominated in 2008 for the status of one of the first five federal universities.

Dr. Kurilov is a member of Federal Attestation Committee (VAK), supervising the quality of education and doctoral research at the national level; a Deputy of Primorsky State Legislative Committee; a member of Steering Committees of many national and international educational organizations. He was awarded by the Russian Federation Order of Recognition, over 50 other Russian, foreign, and international awards, and honorary degrees of 7 foreign universities.

Dr. Kurilov received his S.J.D. and LL.M. degrees from St. Petersburg State University, and his J.D. degree from Far Eastern National University.
